I was a little worried the glass bell would feel flimsy, but the borosilicate is surprisingly solid and sits perfectly on the ceramic tray. The way the light catches the glass and the matte porcelain together makes the whole thing look far more expensive than it was.
The porcelain base has a lovely matte finish that feels sturdy, and the glass bell sits on it perfectly flush. I lit a standard candle underneath and the light dances beautifully through the borosilicate.
The glass dome is surprisingly thick and sturdy, catching the candlelight in a way that makes the whole table feel cozy. I like that the oval porcelain tray keeps everything balanced, so it doesn't wobble even on my uneven sideboard.
